Top 5 Resume Mistakes to Avoid

How long has it been since you've updated your resume? If you've been in the same job for 5, 10, or even 20 years, you probably haven't even thought about your resume since you landed steady employment. Even if you plan on staying in your current job, however, you should know that the face of resume's have changed. According to CNN Money, employers now want to see very different information than what used to be the norm.

1. Objective statement introductions? Nope. Try an "executive summary" instead.
2. One-size fits all isn't the best route to go. Specialize.
3. Put your accomplishments in dollars and cents instead of a responsibilities.
4. Gone are the days of one page resumes.
5. Remember to market yourself.
